Therapeutic Hypnosis

Therapeutic Hypnosis

• Therapeutic Hypnosis is intended to help a person to gain more control over undesired negative feelings, emotions and behaviors. For example, instead of feeling sad, lonely, angry, bored, worried or stressed or any other negative emotion which results in eating too much, smoking cigarettes, drinking too much alcohol, blaming others for your feelings or working too much, you can break the negative emotional cycle through hypnosis.

• Through hypnosis, one can gain control of annoying and compulsive habits, increase athletic performance, increase academic motivation and become a successful public speaker.

• Hypnosis is completely safe and helpful but it is not a medical treatment.

• You do not need any special preparation for a hypnosis session. It is a good idea to wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing to help with relaxation. Also, make sure you are well rested before having hypnosis so that you are not inclined to fall asleep during the session.

• Contrary to how hypnosis is sometimes portrayed on television or on stage, you do not lose control over yourself under hypnosis. Hypnosis makes you more open to suggestions. But you cannot be forced to engage in behavior not acceptable to you. You are fully alert and aware.

• A typical hypnosis session lasts about 60 minutes. You may benefit from one session. Some time a few more reinforcement sessions may be needed depending on the issue.

• You can usually resume normal activities immediately after a hypnosis session. You will be more refreshed, alert and relaxed after the session.

• You will be guided to practice every day self-hypnosis, which takes less than 15 minutes. This will benefit to accomplish the goal in a natural way.
